The margin of error here is about a point, so treat this as “these give you a slightly bigger menu” rather than a precise order. The teaser guide covers which sizes carry a measured edge at all.
Why some books are missing
A book only appears if it quoted enough comparable bets to measure. Anything thinner than that is left out rather than ranked off a handful of prices.
Several books listed are offshore and are not licensed by any US state regulator. They appear because they quote NFL markets and the data treats them the same way it treats everyone else — that is a description of their pricing, not a recommendation to use them.
How this is measured
The same bet, or nothing. A “best odds” table comparing one book’s −108 on a 4.5 line against another’s −120 on a 5.5 line is comparing two different bets and telling you nothing. Books here are only scored against each other on the same game, market, player, number and moment, and only where at least 3 of them quoted it.
The error bars are worked out per game rather than per price. Every number on one book’s board for one game comes out of the same pricing decision, so counting them as separate evidence would make these figures look far more precise than they are. Where two books differ by less than their error bars, they are tied, and the order between them means nothing.
Nothing here is scored on bonuses, app design or “trust”. Some of that cannot be measured from price data and the rest is a marketing budget wearing a lab coat. A worse price is a tax on every bet you will ever place; a bonus is paid once.
There is no judgement anywhere in the order. The rank is a sort on a measured number, the write-up beside each book is generated from that same book’s figures, and both are rebuilt from scratch every time the data refreshes. No book is on this page because I like it and none is at the bottom because I do not — I have no commercial relationship with any of them, and this page carries no affiliate links, which is the only reason the bottom of the list is allowed to say what it says.
How often this changes
Not weekly, and it would be easy to pretend otherwise. Every figure here is measured over a fixed sample of 2023-2025 — 542 games and 200,738 quotes bought and stored — so the ranking only moves when that sample grows, not when a new week is played. It was last recomputed 2026-08-28, and that date only moves when a number does.
Common questions
Which sportsbook has the best NFL odds?
No single book wins everything, which is the useful answer. The gap between the best and worst book here is 1.49 points of required win rate — about $2.85 on every $100 bet, or $285 across a hundred bets. That is bigger than most handicapping edges, so where you bet matters more than most of what you bet on.
How is a sportsbook ranking measured?
Line for line. Two books are only ever compared on the same game, the same market, the same player and the same number, at the same moment, and only where at least 3 books quoted it. The score is how much extra win rate a book's price demands against the best quote available on that exact bet.
Why do these rankings ignore bonuses and app quality?
Because a worse price costs you on every single bet, forever, while a bonus is paid once. If you bet regularly, the gap between the top and bottom book on this page costs more over a season than any welcome offer returns.
